Counter Recruitment at UCSC Graduate Student Career Fair (10/15)
We're going to meet at 10:30 AM at the Stevenson event center where the grad student career fair is, to hang around and pass out flyers and have a general presence against the army health services. The career fair goes from 11 til 3 so if you drop by anytime between then, come find us!
see you there!

Is this it?
Are they 'Uniformed services U health care'? I don't see army listed there, although things got testy at a previous fair, where they kicked everyone out. NOAA corps is probably the best uniformed service to pick.

Perhaps some of the SAW members and others who participated in the action can brief us on what happened. There's often a major disconnect between town and gown, with very little mainstream (or even sidestream) coverage.
If SAW held one of their meeting downtown in a public place, they might find a lot of local antiwar support. Up to now the antiwar movement locally (and nationally) has been generally ineffective, as we know.
Not to discourage SAW from what good it's doing. Just a suggestion.
Do SAW members have a local radio show (say on Free Radio Santa Cruz)? If not, I invite them to come on to my show to give regular reports. (Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings)
